This guide will walk you through the steps to create a survey in Policy Passport.

Steps:
1. Log in to your Policy Passport profile and click on the "Admin" tab
2. Click "Files"
2. Click on the file you want to add a survey to
You have two options when creating a survey:- Add survey questions to an existing file (we'll explain how to do this below).
- Create a new file with a survey. Click "+ Create a New File" and follow the steps until you reach the survey section.
3. Click "File Actions"
4. Click "Quick edit"
5. Navigate to the "Survey Questions" section
6. Click "Add a survey question"
7. Provide a survey question
8. Choose a question type
- There are three question types you can choose from:
- Free text: Ideal for answers in sentences or paragraphs.
- Scale: Perfect for rating something.
- Multiple Choice: Great for selecting from pre-set options.
9. Click "Create survey question"
10. Optionally, add more survey questions
11. Provide a survey question
12. Choose the "Scale" question type
13. Optionally, change the scale range
- The scale ranges from 1 to 10 by default but feel free to change it to fit your needs.
14. Click "Create survey question"
15. Click "Add another survey question"
16. Provide a survey question
17. Select the "Multiple choice" question type
18. Optionally, allow multiple checked options
- By default, users can select only one option, but you can allow them to choose multiple answers if needed.
19. Provide answer options
- Fill in all of the answer options
20. Optionally, click "+ Add another answer option"
- You can add as many multiple choice options as you like.
21. Provide more answer options
22. Click "Create survey question" after you added all of your answer options
23. Click "Next →" to complete the process
You have now successfully created survey questions. Users will be able to answer them after completing the relevant file.
